Aqua Bot Terms
The license of the Aqua Bot, what it sees in your Discord server, what it keeps and the rules for using it.
Contents, 8 sections
In short
- One code is for one Discord server, for the period you paid.
- The bot reads only the events it needs, and reads message text only inside tickets.
- The ticket transcript goes to your server and to whoever opened the ticket, and is not kept by us.
- When the plan ends, the bot stops, and the server's data is deleted 90 days later.
The bot's license
A subscription gives the Discord server where the code was used the right to use the Aqua Bot for the paid period. One code is for one server.
Plans, renewal and the 7-day guarantee follow Payments and Refunds.
What the bot sees
To work, the bot reads the events of your server that it needs: members joining and leaving, moderation, voice channels, and the fact that a message was edited or deleted.
The text of messages is read only inside tickets, to build the transcript. The transcript goes to your server's log channel and to the person who opened the ticket, and it is not kept by us.
What it keeps
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Your server's settings, channels and roles | While the plan is active, and 90 days after it ends |
| Tickets: who opened, who took part, when, the category and the rating | 180 days after the ticket closes |
| Allowlist answers | 30 days after the decision, and the application 90 days |
| Panel audit log | 180 days |
The full list, and the rights of everyone involved, are in the Privacy Policy.
Your members' data
You decide how the bot is used in your community, and the bot handles your members' tickets, allowlist and moderation on your behalf. It is up to you to tell your members what the bot does in your server. If a member asks us about their data, we help you answer.
Your part
You are responsible for setting up the bot on your server, for the permissions you give your staff and for how you use moderation and the allowlist. Your server must follow the Discord terms.
What is not allowed
- Using the bot for spam, harassment or collecting members' data beyond its features.
- Using the bot on a server that breaks the Discord terms.
- Trying to use one code on more than one server.
When the plan ends
When the plan ends, the bot stops working on your server. The settings, tickets and allowlist are kept for 90 days, so you can renew without setting everything up again, and then they are deleted.
